bird attacks and tree attacks
We took a bike ride today. While circling the pond at a nearby park, we rode by bushes where some red-wing blackbirds live (they were there previous years too, I recall). And... one of them attacked the back of my head! Gyah!! My mum got attacked too. It was crazy. But we survived unharmed.
It was a hot day. I did a lot of lounging around and napping. Oh, but I also sawed off some branches of the stupid-trees that hang over our yard! They're... um. I think they're American Elm. But they get infested by these bugs every year-some kind of little beetle that lays its eggs in the leaves and then the eggs hatch and there's like a bubble in the leaf with a little wormy-thing in it. Ugh. And so then all the leaves fall down all the time and they're brown and full of holes and gross. And there are three of these trees hanging over our yard from the neighbours' yards! Ughhhhhhhh I hate them. So anyway, I cut down the branches I could reach that were hanging over our yard. But I can't reach that high, so there's still a lot left.
