Okaaaay, enough of this lazy posting schedule, Lys! The arts and rec camp at church is over, and this week my mission is draw!draw!draw!!!
And in that spirit...
The 17th's pose is, I dunno. Robot-lys? Or something? The 18th is reli-li-lief! The camp event finished, and the open-house/wrap-up Friday evening was great-seeing what the kids had been doing in their other classes. (I led the art sessions-each day we used a different art-medium to draw one of the stories about the prophet Elijah; there was also recreational time, and an elective session where the kids chose drama, dance or puppets (they'd do the same one for the whole week), and Friday night each of the age groups presented their dramatic reenactments/puppet shows/dances interpreting some of the stories about Elijah.) And, like last year, the art these kids came up with was wonderful. I think I enjoyed it even more this time, as I've gotten to know some more of the kids since last summer. Kids are awesome.
After the whole week of camp activities, I took Saturday off and just sat around reading manga all day. I finished Tower of the Future, read more of Here is Greenwood, some Neko Ramen... and I think towards evening I picked up Berry Berry 1 and tried deciphering more of it. Whee!
On Sunday I decided it's been too long since I last wore a cute button-up, so I chose my red and white striped top... and then thought it'd go nice with that dark brown plaid skirt... and then eventually I realized I wore that same combination a few weeks ago. Boo! I had it paired with a different pair of tights and stuff, though (and my hair was longer)... but still. Doubling up is cheating! I'm just not sure what other skirts to wear with that top, though-my navy blue pleated skirt (originally bought at a thrift store for a sailormoon halloween costume) would be perfect if it didn't make me look like a US flag; I'd venture to wear a green skirt but that's Christmas. Soooo... hmm. Maybe I need some new skirts. (no, I don't.) Anyway, I also wore those tights for the first time, and those shoes! oooh my goodness I love those shoes. Even though they're heels, again!! But they're more closed (laced up) so they stay on my feet better. And the heel is wider, so it's not as tipsy. Still relatively uncomfortable, but so worth it for the cute.
Now to more drawing!!
