On days like today, the only thing that gets me into work is the knowledge that I haven't taken a sick day in my entire professional career. I haven't yet, so why start now?

You may have noticed it snowed a bit. My first day on the new job was supposed to start at 10 AM, so I got up at 8, left the house at 8:30 to have time to clean the car and get to Riverside by 9. One of the sites I signed up for was Inbox.com

I was still running IE6 when I signed up, then I installed IE7 so I could use tabs.

If I try to go to their site with IE7 it closes the browser.

I'm testing a system at work that needs to be able to automatically send emails to addresses outside our system. I have some test accounts created at gmail and one at yahoo. Can anyone suggest one or two more places where I can create a free account for testing?

And I'm letting everyone see it 'cause you should feel free to pester me about this.

I need to do the computer work I've committed to doing.

We just had a fire in our kitchen here at work. Someone apparently stored their store-bought cupcakes in the over, plastic container and all. Someone else went in and turned on the over to warm it up to cook a lasagna. Hilarity ensued. The plastic melted and caught fire, there's smoke everywhere. When I moved to MA, the plan was simple: buy a house at some point. Sooner was better than later and with aliwings and head58 was better than without.

Between the crappy housing market putting the kaibosh on part of the plan and the rest of the "plan" driving me a little nuts, I decided to come up with an actual, though still quite flexible, plan.
