I was pleased to discover that the Bob Newhart Show is on Hulu. I've been watching the series in order this week and I made a discovery.
I've watched the first 7 episodes or so at this point and it has been mentioned in at least two of them that Bob LOVES banana cream pie. jeffwik loves banana cream pie. He also loves Bob Newhart. Coincidence? I think not

And I made a pie. It will be eaten on Saturday. It is lemon merangue.

I am tempted to make this pie for head58.

So I made the insane orange pie that allegedly posted about and it turned out pretty good. It is VERY sweet and heavy, but quite good. 1/2 a normal slice of pie is a good portion. I had to make cirtus cookies to make the crust for the pie and they are also good on their own and we had plently left over. I'll post more about it later, I'm just excited it was ( Read more... )
