Last autumn when I took several days to clear out parts of Mumsie Monster's house, I warned her that she was breaking the law and that her neighbors could turn her in at any time.  Dora had no idea what to do about my sister. Sometime late next week, Mumsie Monster will leave the hospital for a Rehabilitation Center. That's sort of a stop-over place between a hospital  and home OR a hospital and a permanent Nursing Home/Care Facility ( Read more... )

Apparently, the issues my mother has are large enough that she's going to be kept at a hospital for a week.

And hearing all these awful things the woman who birthed me is going through and feeling zero fucking sympathy tells me that I've truly separated myself from her emotionally. This gives me hope. I honestly don't care about her anymore.

My friend Robin and I grew up in the same apartment complex for several years as children and went to the same school. So I knew her older brother Brian, who is just 53 years old.
