It's been a long week. Actually, more than a single week. But it hasn't had anything to break it up, so it's felt like a single one.

I was in line at SuperTarget, and I got in line behind this woman, her husband, and her four kids. They had a lot of stuff (looked like two full carts' worth) up on the belt. As is usual when I feel I'm in a rut, I've been self-examining my life a lot lately. Without getting needlessly whiny about it, it's certainly not where I'd like to be. Forgot to mention in my last post... I found a sewing needle in my rug with my left foot on Saturday. Stepped on it pretty hard. I actually hit it with so much force that I bent the damn thing. It was embedded about 0.25" into my flesh. Believe me, it was fun to hobble around on that for 12 hours at work that night. My foot is actually still sore ( Read more... )

I got the car fixed. Wasn't as bad as I'd feared, really... "only" $470. Thank goodness for plastic. Since I'll be un-burying myself from debt for a while anyway, I also bought a graphics card for the G4 (the "good" one, not the used cheap one I've recently picked up to replace the Blue & White G3 as the "server Mac") so that I can use the ADC 17" ( Read more... )

I just... cannot believe last night. My fucking god, it was insane. And tonight will be just more of the same, I know it. There was such an insane, ungodly, obscene amount of food backstock off of last night's double truck, it was ludicrous. Seven pallets. I'll say that again... seven pallets.
