I've spent the week-end at my parents, and in fact I'm still here.

I am supposed to fly back to London tomorrow night but there are two strikes in the way: British Airways (my flight is supposed to operate, but you never know) and an Italian strike of airport ground staff.
Well, we'll see what happens!

Another Sunday of cooking, eating and drinking (almost 10 bottles), chatting and laughing.

- Melon, cucumber and prawn salad with dill   (plus homemade Nigella's potato bread)
- Adrian's tomato, cheese and onion tarts
- Turkey paillards with Jersey royals and asparagus 
- Amaretto, strawberries and zabaglione cups

Rainy and windy day here in London (by the way, the drought in the south-east is officially over: all water companies have lifted the hosepipe bans).

9 pm and we have just finished washing up.

Lunch was a success: Carlos, Jim, Ross, Wills had a good time and enjoyed the food and drinks (almost 6 bottles - average of 1 each). And so did Adrian and myself.
