As I posted earlier on Bearbook,
"Today I feel (and look) like death warmed up!
My chest cold and cough has turned into a head cold - and am already looking forward to getting home and going to bed."

Oh yes, I have joined Bearbook: same nickname.
So far, I can still use it at work until it falls foul of the evil 'Web Blocker'.

I am full of cold (I blame the kilt!) and had some very unusual dreams in the last couple of nights. 
When I am not well, I often seem to become stuck on a same dream.

Last night I dreamt that I flew back from Spain and, when I landed, my suitcase has a large tear and was half empty. I obsessed about this for what felt like hours!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in London but rather chilly.
We had a dusting of snow in the night and we don't seem to be able to get warm today.

The Sunday before Christmas was an extremely cold day (-14 C/6 F) but I spent a couple of hours strolling around the city centre.

The remains of the the very fine and powdery snow from two days earlier had turned to ice, and it was almost too cold to take pictures: at times when I didn't manage to shoot, I wondered whether it was the camera or the ( Read more... )

This morning was the first day that the temperature was just below 0 Celsius (32 F) when I got up just before 7.
The temperature in the bedroom wasn't much better 10.5 C (51 F)!! (we don't have central heating upstairs and no double-glazing - being a conservation area, we have to keep the old windows).  It was hard to climb out from under the duvet ( Read more... )
