The Murder Game: Day 007
[The door has already been unlocked for a while. But you pay little attention to it. You sit against a wall, knees up and against your chest with your arms wrapped around your legs, head down.
If it wasn’t for the minute trembling, surely your partner would wonder if you were moving at all, if you were still alive.
You let out a tremulous laugh. Somehow, being alive seems to be the worst consequence of them all. To continue living with blood on your hands...the terrified faces of your fellow (dead) players just waiting to for you to close your eyelids and invade your dreams. Surely this living hell was worse than anything death had in store.
It doesn't help that you had been so sure last time. You were willing to stake everything…no, everyone on your decision.
The wrong decision.
You dry heave at the thought, unable to repress the images of their gruesome deaths any longer. Their blood, their mangled bodies, their mouths open in a eternally silent scream. Your throat and stomach seize and strain, but the only thing that comes out is your anguished gasps.
You wish to die, wish to repent for your sins by condemning yourself instead of the others, to sacrifice yourself just so they could have one more round to figure it out, but…
...You’re too much of a coward to go through with it.
And so, you will vote.]
