This week was a bit strange. Not only was there a bunch of guest lectures to attend for school, but Geoff was gone on a business trip. And in less than a week I leave for my research trip. Life is crazy. Good crazy, but still. Sometimes I need some downtime.

I meant to post this on the exact anniversary, but, well, time slipped by without me noticing. So about a week late, but... it's (roughly) a year since we adopted our kitty boy. Last weekend, we bought Gus a bed, in the vain hope that I might one day be able to reclaim my housecoat... fat chance, I know.

On the bright side, he's been getting tons of exercise! I don't know whether the new bed is the Best Toy Ever, or the Most Evilest Enemy Ever, but... well, here. Judge for yourself:

Easter weekend visit is over, dance exams are over. Back to whatever passes for normal around here. I don't have much to say, so have a kitty pic instead. There's been a lot of rain here lately, and looks like more today. i. I just accepted my MA offer of admission. It's official, I'm going back to school in September. I've been informed that the profs will be fighting over who gets me as a TA.

[Quick water woe update, for anyone playing along: 1 out of 2 fixed - the leaky kitchen tap is leaky no longer! And there was much rejoicing! There would be more rejoicing if the water heater were also fixed, but I'll take what victories I can get.]
