Dragon*Con this past weekend was a wholly fun experience. The trip to and from was thankfully uneventful. We stayed in the Westin, a few blocks away from the three main hotels of the con. I'm back from D*Con. Need to unpack. Going through the 2120 photos (filtered down to 478 so far). I'll write up the experience soon.

After a half hour of power-sanding, my fine motor skills are shot and can't draw a straight line. I can barely read my own writing, though it's kinda artsy. Ss are the hardest. Typing is just fine. I'm going to have to wait to cut stencils.

Good news, everyone! The coat of epoxy resin I applied last night set up just fine. Just got done adding the coat to the closed end and put a strip of fiberglass cloth along one side of the handle. The wrench is well on its way to being done by this weekend. Huzzah!

Now I need to mix up some bloody paint... Stay tuned.

About one week until we head off to Hot-lanta and Dragon*Con. I'm still trying to get the finishing touches done for Char's costume. Hopefully this last coat of epoxy resin on the wrench will cure by tomorrow night. I've also added a bit of epoxy on any loose parts of copper on the boots. Kneepads are done.
