I'm working on something and wanted some feedback. I'm needing to do some translations that simply state "I speak..." Like "I speak French" - "Je parle français".. But I wanted to double check my translation on the following. If you are fluent in any of the following can you let me know your thoughts on accuracy?

I'm going to Vietnam and Cambodia this winter (wheee!). The problem is that coriander leaves, often used in Asian food, taste like soap to me. It takes very few leaves to make an entire dish taste absolutely vile, and I'd really like to eat now and then while I'm there...

I've been doing some idle research on Vietnamese, and I discovered that Vietnamese for "Russia" is Nga.

It strikes me as implausible that this could be the only thing that Nga means, but I can't for the life of me figure out what its derivation is. Anybody out there who can give me a hand?

Not entirely sure if this is permitted (feel free to delete if it's not), but I woke up to this IM left on my screen by a friend who I'm guessing sent out a mass-IM to his mostly-Vietnamese-speaking buddy list.
