My Uncle passed away over the weekend due to complications from cancer. He and I were never terribly close, but he was at heart a good man, and my favorite Aunt's husband. Wow. I just realized, I really am quite lonely.

I miss the good ol days, where even if I had to work, I was still sleeping in till 7 or 8. This waking up at 530 every morning is really starting make me crabby.

I just got back from a base out in Landstuhl (not sure about the spelling) where I went through a week of Combat Live Saver training. I just spent a week on another base getting trained in Combat Live Saving skills. I learned lots of useful things, like how to properly administer emergency care while under enemy fire, how to treat an amputated extremity (blown off limbs), how to bandage a sucking chest wound, re-inflate a collapsed lung, and administer an IV.
