I went to see iammightee on Sunday; we had a much-needed girl's afternoon out.

Last night I came upon a sick, starving kitten just outside the door of the local BK. Little thing just came up to me and rubbed against my feet.

Why now, God??? Like I don't have enough going on in my life???!!

Well, we saw the attorney earlier today. Nice guy.

Our living situation is going to be the major problem for my getting the green card. Once the papers are filed I can travel freely, so in theory I could go back to DE.

Practical considerations are another thing, though. I can't live in that house as long as Hagatha is there.

Since Chris is leaving later this month (although it looks really iffy to me, for reasons I won't go into for now) I'm seriously considering moving out of the efficiency at the end of September.
