Well, we saw the attorney earlier today. Nice guy.
Our living situation is going to be the major problem for my getting the green card. Once the papers are filed I can travel freely, so in theory I could go back to DE.
Practical considerations are another thing, though. I can't live in that house as long as Hagatha is there.
Even when she's gone, Chris will still have to work on FiL; considering the need for help in keeping house as well as caring for the cats that will remain, it may not be too hard to do, but I can't be sure. In any case, we have to be living together, especially when we're interviewed by ICE.
Another problem is the lack of a car... although, if I can land a job once the papers are filed, we can save up for a clunker Chris can work on.
I'm going to look for a place we can move to here, just in case...
