We have an appointment with an attorney on Tuesday, to see about my green card application. I'm wondering whether we have to be living under the same roof while it's going on....
Spoke to my landlord on Thursday to tell him I won't be renewing the lease. It's a shame, because I really like the place, but it's really not feasible for me any more, not without utilities being included in the rent. The power bill is still about $30 every month, but I NEED Internet access for my sanity. Also, my commuting has become somewhat more expensive even though a friend can give me a ride most days of the week.
I'm supposed to move into my sister's place -kinda like house-sitting but I cover the utilities-, but I can't if Chris has to stay. I don't get the reluctance, but it's not my house, so Sis and BiL can make the rules. I'm going to look for another place anyway, in case of Chris needing to live with me while the green card is in process. He doesn't want to stay because the weather is making his health problems even worse, but what am I going to do if we need to prove continuous cohabitation?
