On November 8, 2024 my mom and I went to see Steve Carlson at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. The Hotel Cafe is a cool music venue. Cal Cotton has passed on and while I am glad he is no longer in pain or anything, I am sad for the loss of him. As we get older, and know more people, I guess we get to the point where these big "life" events happen seemingly more often. So far 2014 is off to a bit of a rough start. My best friend was saying that we are in the last throes of the Year of the Snake and I guess that Snake is not thrilled about giving way to the Horse. Several people I know have stated they are trying to change their outlook to a more positive one. A worldview overhaul is hardly an easy thing to accomplish and it certainly doesn’t happen overnight. I am in Lake Arrowhead with my family right now. Dad and Lorrie rented a 4BR/4BA cabin on the lake. We have a little dock with two kayaks right down the hill. It's really pretty here.
