With the end of the school year rapidly approaching... *6 days!*  I need to get my things organized.  Not to mention the 4th grade teachers decided to pull a new thing on me today.

• Meet with Susan & Susan Monday
• Write out 5th grade Chorus certificates
• Make up 4th grade certificate
• Copy  4th grade certificate
• Move boxes to car

I walked around the school to use the restroom and wound up in my favorite class of Kindergarteners.  Since Maintenance is putting down mulch, the kids had to have indoor recess.  Apparently during indoor recess, Jane's class plays beauty shop.  I had my hair done and a short shoulder massage.  Jane took pictures and I hope she gives me a copy :)  ( Read more... )

As I walked back from the office earlier and ran into quite a few of my students, I realised I'm really going to miss a few of them.  Sure, mostly they annoy me to no end, but a lot of them are awfully cute.  I know I'll have a lot of new kids (no matter where I teach), but I'm really going to miss these kids.  It's different from the past 2 years ( Read more... )

So my Chorus Spring Concert is tonight.  Surprisingly, I'm not the least bit nervous or worried.  I will be once it actually starts, but right now... I'm clear.  Lou's supposed to come down for it and I'm going to get him to record it. I'm actually proud of this concert, even if the kids don't know the last song 100%.

I hate Mondays.  I hated Mondays last school year too, but for different reasons.  Last year I had 6 classes between 3 schools including travel and lunch w/ no time to breathe.  This year... I just hate Chorus.  It would probably be great if I didn't have 60+ kids with 50 of them being girls.  Pre-teen girls who don't know how to close their mouths ( Read more... )

It's Thursday again... and Tae Kwon Do is in my room.  We have 3 different people, and the main lady talking is loony tunes.  But the kids love her.  She keeps changing her voice from low to high, raising her voice then talking soft.  It's keeping the kids attention.  But she's getting on my nerves ( Read more... )
