Silly Kids

As I walked back from the office earlier and ran into quite a few of my students, I realised I'm really going to miss a few of them.  Sure, mostly they annoy me to no end, but a lot of them are awfully cute.  I know I'll have a lot of new kids (no matter where I teach), but I'm really going to miss these kids.  It's different from the past 2 years sicne I only taught 5th grade.  They were leavign at the end of the year, so I wasn't as attached.  Now that I've seen all these kids once a week (sometimes twice), I really like them.

One of the 4th grade teachers told me I'm her son's favorite teacher because I'm "Young and Hip" (his words, not mine).

Geh. Enjoy whining.  Aaron's here til Monday and Mom & Dad took us out to dinner last night at Olive Garden.  Mmm... really good.  Tomorrow night is the End-of-Year Party for my school and we'll go there for a few hours.  Some night we're supposed to get Indian food at this restaurant in Short Pump and who knows what else.

I just want to go to sleep.  I'm exhausted, even though Aaron slept on his side of the bed last night.

We had Talent Day today with my 4th graders.  Some of them actually have talent... some just goof around.  There were two kids who played piano, two students who sang a capella, one girl that danced to a CD, two boys that fought, the 'Stuck-together Band' (6 girls in 3 oversized tee-shirts) and a play.  The two singing kids were probably the best act, followed closely by the play.  It was most certainly interesting.  And let me just say... they are RUDE!  One kid got up in the middle of the performance to ask *loudly* if he could use the bathroom and then whined when I said no.  Seriously?  Etiquitte people.

6 more days and then it's summer.10 more days til Music History, which is scaring me more every day.

pces, talent day
