Still ... happy ... from a night of hanging out with Matt and Van, I just opened my email to see if any treats awaited me.

No luck finding a ticket yet as I have run into a snag. Turns out I cannot get a one way ticket to Taiwan (or so I have been told by two airlines and three travel agents). I need to show that I am leaving Taiwan or I will not be allowed in. Fair enough I guess but I did not have that problem taking flights in and out of China ( Read more... )

Off to Xian tomorrow (16 hour train ride) to see the TerraCotta Warriors. Staying their for a few days then flying down to Shenzhen to transfer to Hong Kong. Two days in HK and then airbound again on my way to see Berger in Taiwan. That is, if I can ever convince the freaking travel agency to sell me a ticket.
