Last night Daddy interrupted us all in the middle of watching a movie and told us to water the gardens, lest they die of lack of moisture. It was a rather fun adventure, really, except that we got bitten up by mosquitoes that are flying rampantly en masse around our house.

On a similar note, we went to Kev's graduation party today, where the same problem was had by all, except when we were in the pool. So I hung out in the pool a lot, except when Ashley and the two Joshes were there. Johnny spent the entire time in the pool, and flirted with a five-year-old, as is his wont, and thus was very well-behaved, which is more than I can say for his demeanor in church. Bishop Reiger came today, as it was the Feast of the Trinity, and gave a lovely non-repetitive sermon. John was blatantly unappreciative and sat when he should have been standing or kneeling, and sang all the hymns mockingly. Argh. He is going to middle school next year and refuses to mature past the age of six.

Okay, so I really want to reupholster my green chair, but my form of reupholstering involves about fifty seven nails being whacked into the wooden frame, and Chris is sleeping in the next room and I am not supposed to waker her up. She has to get up eventually, though, so we can finish our game of MASH. We started it last night at John's suggestion, while Jean and Chris and Liz were playing Risk. Jeannie won. It was very vicious, as always. We made up new categories, like form of death and political party. Fun fun.

There are four new girls at the bakery, Michaela, who is pretty nice but a bit of a ditz, Ashley, who is pretty cool, Monique who is fifteen, and Michele who is about Katie's age and therefore most responsible and calls everybody "hon." Ashley has a boyfriend who works at the rock store. Dad and I went there to look at bricks the other day, because I want to turn the wall portion of the down-by-the-lake area into usable space. it should be a project. I have to re-level the ground and kill the poison ivy and do something about the rhododendrons. Everyone is all about projects this summer, though unfortunately we all have to work, so none of us have time to do the projects. Liz is rearranging her 6 by 8 cubicle of a room so she has some more space. We went and picked up a shelving unit on the side of the road marked, "free" and bungee-corded it to the roof of dad's station wagon. Ah, the adventures of my family.

I miss Nancy.

So I guess I can't go to Inside Out. Maybe I said that before, but it is really disappointing. Jill is not going to be a happy camper. Ah well. Tomorrow is Sonnet's birthday. I wonder if she is around. She should have a party. That would make me happy. Josh E. and Ashley M. invited me to their graduation parties. I was excited. I feel so included. I also feel like a high-schooler, but hey whatever.

Feet feet, on the street, peach and pink, really stink.
