This is the anniversary of the founding of the Temple of Cybele in ancient Rome. People were entitled to chariot races in the Circus Maximus, where a statue of Cybele stood beside the central obelisk. It was on this day that the galli (gender variant followers) were allowed to collect money.

After missing a bus today, I was feeling a little low, and tired as I walked to Wallsend library. Just been down a bit lately as well, for one reason or another.

I collapsed yesterday. It wasn't actually a bad thing as such, but it was pretty scarey. I'm OK, don't worry, and I might write more about this in one of my other journals, but for now it's given a lot to think about.

Well, I underwent "The Mysteries" last night, and was also elevated as a Cybelene priestess as well.

Neither were what I was expecting, but both were what I needed.

Nuff said (except that I had a hangover this morning).

Just been to a "10,000 Year History" (not its proper title) which was a filmed workshop about the Goddess. It was good, but I was very tired and a little bit cranky. I need some sleep before tonight's rituals ( Read more... )
