Yesterday was the first session (character gen / game launch) of the WH40K game I have joined. I like my character plus the party design (we're all Adeptus Mechanicus with different roles) and it has an intriguing premise. Window 22 was a toy boat.

Today we wrapped presents and I finished the Christmas cake. bateleur braved Tescos for the Last Shop Before Christmas (we hope). Reeve slept (mostly).

The window today was a birdhouse... again.

I've made a chocolate cake for bateleur's birthday. It's always a slightly fragile cake (it works on egg whites), but worthwhile. And bateleur has interesting (other) food plans for dinner.

I generally enjoyed my forties. They started well (The Fat Duck) and included plenty of roleplaying, writing, gaming (Secret Worlders!) and cake. Plus an angry cat ( Read more... )

About a fortnight ago, bateleur and I went to Ryan's school to see him waitering in the cafe there. He is doing this is for a term.

The last, double window opened to show a fireplace with stockings. Overall, it's been a pretty, wildlife calendar. Not all that seasonal, but nice enough in its way.
