I had a fantastic time on the weekend at Sydney Supanova, despite the late nights leading up to the con and the freezing cold. Sydney has a totally different feel to Brisbane. I FINALLY solved the Victorian overskirt problem! I decided to lay the piece of fabric I had out flat and work with it that way (I'm just using the piece I originally used for the overskirt). I decided to experiment with pleats, and got something that looked pretty good. So I played some more and I think I've worked it out :D ( Read more... )

But on Thursday morning, when I got back from the hairdresser, I found the little note to say that they had arrived and could be picked up from the post office. I received an email back from the Cosworx people, and because they're holding the order up, the wigs will be shipped to me now and the colour ring will be shipped at a later date, at no extra charge! Hooray! Now I just have to sit back and wait for it to arrive.

So I got an email back saying that the reason my order hadn't been sent yet is becuase the colour ring that I ordered is currently out of stock, and on backorder. Apparently will be arriving next week. They offered to send the wigs now and the ring when it comes in, but I'm not sure if that will cost me extra postage. I didn't want to post any until I had totally finished it, but I think I do need some opinions on this! Ok so I pinned together the back seam, and tried it all on. It looks better than I thought, but I'm still not entirely happy with it. Giselle 2.0 is definitely happening!! But I want to finish this one first!
