Sorry. Too much joy. Must jump up and down a bit in the LJ.
End of first period: 5-1. Huzzah!
Kyle Wellwood is so frickin' cute. I just want to pinch his cheeks. I guess he was born in Windsor too. Nifty.
Mike Peca has a very unique way of skating. I can't really describe it. I just know I can always pick him out without having to look for the number 27 jersey.
Belak seems to have a really short fuse.
(I may need to see this damn Rocky Balboa movie. Milooooooo!)
I ♥ their post-goal group hugs.
ETA: 7-1. Oh, ew. I'm glad they're winning and everything, but I always feel bad for the other team when the score gets really up there like that. The Rangers' goalie seems to be having a rough night.
Late second period. Ahahaha. Stajan, two minutes for slashing. Go, Stajan! You rock.
Oh, also, I've noticed that they have people who hold the doors (to the penalty box, etc.) open for the players. OMG, I WANT THAT JOB.
Third period. Rangers' coach pulled Lundqvist and he's sitting in the box chatting with a Leafs fan (aww!) He's kind of yummy, actually, this Lundqvist fellow. Damn. Hockey is fun.
Lundqvist and Sundin, because it's too cute:
Final score: 9-2. I won't gloat, but I'm glad my guys won, of course.
I hope Darcy Tucker isn't hurt too badly. Sonofabitch. *frets* Oh ye great and powerful gods of hockey, don't let him be seriously injured.
Somebody gave the brim of Lundqvist's hat a sympathetic tap at the end there, though I didn't see who. It was totally adorable.
One other thing: I wish the announcers wouldn't go on so much about how the Leafs have the five vs. three plays down. Seems to me that isn't really something to boast about. Hey, they always score when they have a two-man advantage! Uh. Um. Yay? When they start rocking all the short-handed plays, then we'll have room to brag.
