hockey on tsn; my 2007 wish list
Watching the Leafs @ the Carolina Hurricanes on TSN. Mats looks good tonight, man. So much love. And what's this I hear about a particularly loud timeout with Paul Maurice the other night? Kinda sorry I missed that. Oh, Mr. Maurice. Fruit basket & ♥!
Underneath the cut, just because I thought it would be fun: things that might not happen in 2007, but hey, a girl can dream.
1. World peace.
2. Lord Stanley's Cup comes back to Toronto after 40 long f&#king years. Failing that, the Leafs at least making it into the playoffs and past the first round would be fine. HEY! STOP LAUGHING.
3. The death of celebrity news. Tom and Katie's wedding? Not really a news item! That said, if you must continue to discuss the rich and famous (& infamous), at least stop with the mushing together of couple names. TomKat, Brangelina, etc. It's not cute, and it never was.
4. Somewhat related to #3: An end to the Sir Paul vs. Heather Mills fiasco. Really. For the sake of everyone involved.
5. LOST: Jack and Sawyer finally come to the conclusion that Kate is a total flake, ditch her, and console each other with a long session of hot steamy cage sex. And the Others watch, because we all know those dudes have some hardcore voyeuristic tendencies. Kate nurses Benry back to health after his surgery, because Juliet is too busy, you know, watching. Desmond is pronounced King of the Island on account of his newly discovered ability, and wears a Claire-made leafy crown and everything. Locke continues to be completely awesome. More answers, less questions. Etc.
6. The Killers win Album of the Year for Sam's Town, thus returning some credibility to the Grammy Awards after last year's Night of Kelly flipping Clarkson.
7. Come back, Cillian! We miss you.
I'm pretty sure I had more than seven things to include in this list when I decided to throw it together, but I'll leave it like that for now and add to it if I think of anything.
They just played a montage of Peca using his head to move the puck as though it was a soccer ball. Hee.
