Visited the Hong Kong Maritime Museum for the first time today.  The museum was initiall situated at the Murray Building at Stanley, but has moved to Pier 8 of the Central District since last year.  It is so large that we were only able to read through the exhibitions at one of the deck/floor.  (There are 3 floors altogether.)  Many people asked me ( Read more... )

Lam and I went to Macau again last saturday when the highest black rainstorm warning signal was issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.  Since Macau is so close to HK, the weather is almost the same - heavy rainstorm, thunder and flooding.  If I have not bought the ship tickets 2 weeks ago, I really shouldn't have travelled in such a bad weather.

Yesterday both Lam and I had taken annual leave to celebrate my birthday.  We have visited Cheung Chau, a famous outlying island in Hong Kong.  I have not been there for several years already.  I regret we arrived there too late in the afternoon and so we had to rush for the whole trip.  For those who are interested, please view the photos I ( Read more... )
