Tonight I steamed fish for the second time in my life. Last night's trial was quite unsuccessful. The fish was too big. I steamed too long. The sauce was... argh, forget about it. Tonight the fish tasted better for I bought a smaller fish, steamed it with less time and most importantly, have bought a delicious sauce.

As some of you might have known, our church's fellowship members and I had to present a hymn in Alan and Ada's wedding ceremony last saturday.  Unfortunately I have done something I regret for - I have eaten a piece of chocolate cake the night before their wedding, and then my throat become sore.  ;_;  I think I have caught a cold, because many of ( Read more... )

Last night's annual dinner turned out to be not that bad.  The person sitting on my right-hand side was Lucia, a colleague of one of our listed subsidiary.  She is very talkative and so there was no "dead air" during the dinner.  As for the "unknown guy", she is actually a lady.  I have tried to speak to her, but she doesn't seem like talking to ( Read more... )

Yesterday Lam had quickly finished his overtime work in an hour's time, so we had some time to go hiking in the afternoon.  In order to save traveling time, I chose to go hiking in the mountains of Quarry Bay near his workplace. I don't like walking "big roads", because they are always too crowded with people.  So we walked along the Wilson Trail ( ( Read more... )

Yesterday both Lam and I had taken annual leave to celebrate my birthday.  We have visited Cheung Chau, a famous outlying island in Hong Kong.  I have not been there for several years already.  I regret we arrived there too late in the afternoon and so we had to rush for the whole trip.  For those who are interested, please view the photos I ( Read more... )
