Well, Thursday night after LC decided he wanted nothing more to do with the fluid treatments I made the vet call on Friday and took him in on Saturday.  The staff at Animal Health & Healing was very soothing in helping us make that transition.

First the short news-

Crazy Road Rage Lady who tried to run the Evil One off the road last week - arrested.  She was arrested at the accident site BECAUSE of so many violations, driving on a suspended license and no insurance.

Like the officer told the Evil One - "I'm going to make her a whole lot more unhappy when I get done..."  I would say so!

Life has been busy, but boring the last several weeks.  LC has still been sick, I've been traveling and worrying about him the whole time when I was gone ( Read more... )

Trip was made to holistic vet this morning and LC made me aware of how much he dislikes car rides by complaining for most of the trip.

The new vet is more convinced that it's not kidney disease and maybe colitis or an infection of some sort or hyperthyroidism, since his BUN levels were normal, his blood pressure was good and his temp was perfectly ( Read more... )

Well, it's time for a quick LC update, since I am awaiting Boss Man at Job 1.

We went back in January for a blood check and his kidney levels had gone up to 2.9 on the creatine levels.  Definitely a step in the wrong direction.

So, we switched foods again and put him on the Hills K/D formula.  That worked for about 5 days before the nausea returned ( Read more... )

Okay, as many folks know, LC is an older cat with food sensitivities.

Late last year/earlier this year, he started being intolerant to the Hill's Science Diet W/D formula and even the Sensitive Stomach Formula wasn't staying down.  So, we tried the Purina Special Formula for Sensitive Stomachs and that didn't stay down at all.
