One of our family dogs just died about an hour and a half ago.

When my parents come home from anywhere, they blow the car horn. She and one of our other dogs was upstairs when my sister, who had been driving at the time, honked the horn. As always, she got very excited.

I'm home now from the hospital. Thank you so much to everyone who kept us in our thoughts. My brother is doing very, very well, he's leaving the hospital tomorrow afternoon. Thanks to those who have sent me prayers and well-wishes for my brother. He's apparently coping, he says the pain has been subsiding a bit, even without painkillers, but he's got a fever, and his white blood cell-count is pretty high, meaning there's an infection somewhere.
