I'm feeling rather contemplative lately. See the icon. I miss my mom, I miss my childhood, I miss the innocent days, only measured by the fun we found and the trouble we got into. Today would have been Mom's 58th birthday.

I was going to take her to a day spa and get her prettied up, and get a nice professional photo done for her birthday present.

I should have posted ages ago, but I've no excuses beyond one. I didn't want to. Last Saturday evening our dear old Bucky, a dog of advanced age, had a stroke. I tended to him all Sunday, and Dad kept him close all Monday, before taking our poor dear to be put down on Tuesday.
( I could say it was his time, but it hurts )
