random bits

I have had a pretty good day. I've studied, chatted on MSN all day, even talked to Melissa and not gotten upset. I've listened to my music all day. I've talked about OYETTS and my new years resolutions that I made, and even talked to Melissa about going up there and I hinted that maybe I don't want to go up there. I complimented her, and she seemed to notice so I didn't end up dismissing myself again. So I'm feeling pretty good about things today. I love having awesome conversations with people on MSN because it really can just make your day. And it's such that I'm talking to Drena and we've been talking for hours and not run out of things to talk about. We've talked about random things, being sick, OYETTS, Melissa, and just about everything.

I have to work this afternoon, and that's kind of putting a dampener on the day, but it's not too bad. It's only five hours, and it's Thursday night, so it won't feel like it's late. The shops shut at nine tonight, and I finish at half past, so it won't feel that late at all. Work was good yesterday. I wrote everything down and I'm pretty confident that I can open in the smoke shop by myself. It's all technical stuff that I need to remember, like what to do with the RF gun and where to go in the computer. I still need to learn how to do a Monday open, so I guess I'll get a Monday shift this week. TAFE was good last night too, although I had a headache because I was so tired. Starting at 6am and finishing TAFE at 9pm is not a good idea. Never the less it's something that's going to be happening so I'll just have to get used to it. I can't wait for TAFE tomorrow either, which reminds me, I need to go and buy black and white film. I've had fun with the camera, but haven't got the film developed yet cause I haven't used it all up! Maybe tomorrow or on the weekend. I can't wait to see how good my photos were! I think I'm alright with it because when you use the digital SLRs you have to use the view finder to focus, but then you can see how good your picture is afterwards. Mine were pretty good, it's not that hard to focus a camera. I just hope my first lot from a film camera are reasonable. It's been years since I've used a film camera!

I can't wait to start my photographic diary for my Friday TAFE class. I'm not sure what to put in it though, and I want to put all these random pictures off the internet in there, but I'm not sure if that's what she wants. I guess it's definately my inspiration so it should be needed. There's going to be lots of things crammed in there, that's for sure.

My nose is going pretty well. It's not sore or anything so here's hoping it doesn't get infected. It's behaved differently this time I think. In the first week it kind of acted like it was infected, like I had little scabby bits around it and stuff, and it didn't do that the last two times I got it done. That's why I'm thinking that this should work, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

We won indoor soccer on Monday night, after waiting for a team that didn't show and then thinking the team that played after us, whose other team wasn't showing, wasn't going to show up either. I scored a goal, from like half way, with my massive back kick. I played back when I used to play competition in the real soccer fields. It was my job to stop the other team getting down there and I made a habit of booting the ball out of the way when it was kicked my way. I did a damn good job of it to. That's my first goal of the season, and it's unusual because I don't think of myself as a goal scorer because of the fact that I used to play back. I think I played forward once or twice, but it was too much running for me. Of course I did a lot of running anyway, but it was just too much, because when I played forward I tended to play the whole field. Louise's friend scored a goal as well, which is amazing, because they just usually muck around and don't really know how to play that well. So it was a pretty good game. Although I hurt my knee somehow and could hardly walk yesterday! I play hard so I'm the only one that gets injured. It just shows that I play.

So things are going pretty good, but it's looking pretty damn nasty outside. I don't really want to go to work, I'm having too much fun sitting on my computer chatting! I should be studying though, but I'm not beating myself up cause I've done some today, so I'm happy about that.
