1. Why do you prefer LJ over other blogging/social networking sites? For features, I really like the communities here and the range of the communities. LJ has history and has old stuff and new stuff that I like. Personally, I also have my own community here. I've found the group of comms I like, the groups of people I like, that it isn't to say I wouldn't like more friends, just that I have a nice base that I would be loathe to leave. Also, I just don't want to start over. 2. How frequently do you post? It depends, at least once a week, and when I'm not that busy in real life it can go up to two posts a day (rare). The median is probably about every other day. 3. How would you describe your writing style? (verbose, short-and-sweet) Verbose. Seriously, I will start a post about one thing and I will have covered fifteen others with great loquacity before the end of the post. 4

Your dinner party sounds amazing. Am I... supposed to be embarrassed by owning the Bridget Jones sequel? I know it's not nearly as good as the original but still.

1. Why do you prefer LJ over other blogging/social networking sites? I really love having a place where I can natter on about anything that interests me AND post pictures AND videos, etc. -- it's more accessible for making friends and being creative than Twitter or Tumblr. 2. How frequently do you post? On average, a couple times of day depending on how many awesome things I find around the internet or what my day is like. 3. How would you describe your writing style? (verbose, short-and-sweet) I'm a mixture: sometimes I'm uber wordy, sometimes I just post pics or small little thoughts/links. 4. How would you describe your journal's content? What are your interests outside of fandom? My journal is my sounding board: I post all about my own life, my worries, my plans, ask for advice, post my creative writing and mix CDs, and frequently post huge linkspams of interesting articles, news, and fandom-related goodness.
5. What are you looking for in an LJ friend

I've been to: Hobbiton, Lothlorien, Helm's Deep, and Rivendell thus far, but I didn't get to visit the South Island whilst I was in Kiwi-a-go-go-land, so I didn't get to see where they filmed most of the big battle scenes. :D

1. Why do you prefer LJ over other blogging/social networking sites? I have a history with LiveJournal. I've made a lot of really good friends here and it's provided me with an out and a place to get away or rant or talk about whatever I'd like without feeling judged all the time or anything as such. 2. How frequently do you post? I typically post several days a week. Sometimes I go with posting several days in row, sometimes I skip a day or two but I do post frequently. 3. How would you describe your writing style? It depends on what I'm writing. I definitely write more than is probably needed but I like to think every word has a purpose. 4. How would you describe your journal's content? What are your interests outside of fandom? My journal's content is a lot of fandom but also with other interests. I post stuff from my real life, plenty of pictures. Some big loves outside of fandom are history and travelling. 5

It's so exciting to see you writing this! =D
Uh, I don't see anything to be ashamed of in owning Winning London. I still like Passport to Paris. I wouldn't change the channel if any of their movies came on tv. Nostalgia is a strong sentiment.
I'm not ashamed but I figured it was something that could count as embarrassing. xD I haven't seen Passport to Paris in ages but I remember it being one of my favourites. I do love nostalgia~
I'm always down for some flailing! Plus, we seem to have a good deal in common (including putting down nearly identical dream vacations). Care to be friends?
1. Why do you prefer LJ over other blogging/social networking sites? I love the community aspect of LJ. IMHO, no other social networking site handles comments/responses as well as LJ does. I think it allows greater and deeper social interaction than facebook, etc. 2. How frequently do you post? If I'm quite busy with essays/reading maybe only twice a week. But I think my norm is about 4 times a week. 3. How would you describe your writing style? (verbose, short-and-sweet) I tend to the TL;DR side of things, but I do use an LJ cut if it gets out of control. 4. How would you describe your journal's content? What are your interests outside of fandom? I'm obsessed with fashion and shopping so I post about gorgeous dresses/purses etc I'd like to buy. Also, pic-spams of fashion shows/shoes/pretty dresses in general. More generally, I'm a pop-culture junkie. Also, given that I'm in grad school right now, academia inevitably comes up from time to time. 5. What

I just wanted to say FABULOUS job darling and it was a lot of fun coming up with this meme with you! I hope lots of people come and post. Also, I will be waiting for my Dior gown with RAPT ANTICIPATION.
1. Why do you prefer LJ over other blogging/social networking sites?
I'm not particularly interested in having a platform to just voice my opinion with little feedback. I like LJ for the interactivity. For me, the whole point of having a journal is to talk to people about our shared interests and forge online friendships. I have Twitter and Tumblr, but they can't replace LJ for me.
2. How frequently do you post?
It depends on how often I'm working, but it usually averages out to 2 to 3 times a week give or take.
3. How would you describe your writing style? (verbose, short-and-sweet)
Definitely verbose. I am the queen of TL;DR. I LJ-cut posts that are too long, but I still talk a lot. I tend to "collect" things to post about and then put them in one post bullet point style instead of doing a bunch of smaller posts on individual things. I should also point out that my writing tends to go back and forth between articulate analysis and CAPSLOCKS

Would you like to be friends? I have to few friends who still love Lord of the Rings and almost none who know Black Books.

I would invite Roger to my girls night, but I'm not sure if he'd behave himself. Maybe Joan would bring him anyway. ;)

{+} I love your answer about why you prefer LJ over other similar sites.
{+} your dinner party sounds LOVELY. And I agree about hors d'oeuvres!
{+} I own Sophie Kinsella books too and I refuse to be ashamed! She's not that bad...(is she?)
I can't believe I forgot to invite Liz Lemon to my dinner party! :(
