Name: Anastasia Age: Location: Southern California though I'll be going to Washington DC this fall for school. Occupation: Student.
1. Why do you prefer LJ over other blogging/social networking sites? I have a history with LiveJournal. I've made a lot of really good friends here and it's provided me with an out and a place to get away or rant or talk about whatever I'd like without feeling judged all the time or anything as such. 2. How frequently do you post? I typically post several days a week. Sometimes I go with posting several days in row, sometimes I skip a day or two but I do post frequently. 3. How would you describe your writing style? It depends on what I'm writing. I definitely write more than is probably needed but I like to think every word has a purpose. 4. How would you describe your journal's content? What are your interests outside of fandom? My journal's content is a lot of fandom but also with other interests. I post stuff from my real life, plenty of pictures. Some big loves outside of fandom are history and travelling. 5. What are you looking for in an LJ friend? I'm looking for someone I can hold a conversation with and will post/comment at least somewhat frequently. Someone I can get to know and become genuine friends with. As well as someone I could flail with. :D
6. What do you carry around in your purse/handbag/on your person every day I have at least one or two books in case I ever get time to read. My wallet, iPod, those kind of essentials and typically something to write on and with as well. 7. You're holding a dinner party for your favourite fictional characters. Describe the affair to us: who you invite, what you eat, what you discuss... Guests: The Doctor, James Potter, Desmond Hume, Vittoria Vetra, Jack Hodgins, Mr. Knightley, Emma Woodhouse, Adam Kelno, Horatio (from Hamlet), Robert Langdon, Tony Stark, and probably many more. Dinner: A roasted chicken with red potatoes, bread and butter, and salad. Something traditional and simple but classy. Topics: Religion, fate, nuclear war, alternate realities, conspiracies, the consequences of our actions, mortality. 8. You have to write a dissertation on fandom. What do you choose to write about? I would choose to write on the positive effects it has or its grasp on reality (or lack thereof). 9. Describe your dream vacation. My dream vacation would be one that lasted years, where I'd travel to several locations (namely in Europe, England and Italy specifically) and stay at these locations for months to years one end and then get up and move again. I guess it's not really a vacation so if you're talking a traditional vacation, one in Europe with nothing planned (no tours, set events with set times) where I get up and just wander and do things spontaneously with no plan. 10. What's the most embarrassing CD/Film/Book you've ever owned and do you still have it? I loved S Club 7 when I was younger and still have their albums. I also still have the Mary-Kate & Ashley film Winning London because I loved them when I was younger. I'm an extremely nostalgic person.
I'll be going to Washington DC this fall for school
It's so exciting to see you writing this! =D
Uh, I don't see anything to be ashamed of in owning Winning London. I still like Passport to Paris. I wouldn't change the channel if any of their movies came on tv. Nostalgia is a strong sentiment.
I'm not ashamed but I figured it was something that could count as embarrassing. xD I haven't seen Passport to Paris in ages but I remember it being one of my favourites. I do love nostalgia~
I'm always down for some flailing! Plus, we seem to have a good deal in common (including putting down nearly identical dream vacations). Care to be friends?
