My computer, Huffer, decided he didn't like his power supply anymore and I had to buy a new one... and wait two weeks while it shipped along with a battery (the original was dead a long time ago)... for $50.
This on top of the expenses from the cat, taking a few days off work to go with Juu to visit her family in Atlanta, and buying/shipping holiday gifts... Yeah, the last thing I needed was to plunk down more money on things. (Let's not get into needing new tires, new contacts, new glasses...)
Will that stop me from buying The Sims 3 Pets and Late Night because they're B1G1 on Amazon right now? lol nope.
SO BOTCON IS IN DALLAS THIS YEAR. And nearly everyone I know won't be going, because it's too short notice - April? really? - and because this year has fucked everyone financially. If I were in a better place with money myself, I'd probably go because it's only about a day of driving to get there (as opposed to California...). But I'm not, and there's not enough going on there without my transfag bros to hang out with, for me to spend that money. If the toy set is good, I might order it. Buuuut probably not. Too bad, because I do love me some Botcon.
