I was baffled when I was talking about ice cream the other day and a whole bunch of girls at work said that they couldn't eat it because they were having their period. I've been humming along the carols and it's a salutory reminder that it's never a good idea to really think about lyrics to old songs :P I like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". The Canadian loves pandas. Always has from what I can remember. He showed me this German Shepherd puppy that's apparently a 'Panda Shepherd' and told me that they are apparently very rare as it's a spontaneous mutation that only appeared in one line, so there's some poor male dog out there that keeps getting bred to try to make more panda ( Read more... )

American Guy was really horrified today to find out that I read spoilers. I used to really like the song 'True Companion' by Marc Cohn. I thought it was sweet and romantic until one day, a guy I knew said that the lyrics made Cohn sound like a scary, psycho stalker. He ruined the song for me - forever! ( There ain't no act of God girl could keep you safe from me )
