The Canadian sent me a link to some articles about a Canadian man who is sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia.

Aside from the fact that I am against the death penalty, the situation has been very thought-provoking for a number of reasons.

I left Toronto this morning at 7.30am (we got up at 3.20am). The flight to Vancouver was only half an hour late. Will have another 12hour flight and will arrive back in Beijing on the evening of the 13th. I have to fly to Hong Kong on 14th for a full day's training on the 15th so I had better recover from my jetlag fast ( Read more... )

The trip here took forever. I left at 5.30pm Beijing time on Wednesday, 6th February and we flew and flew and flew for 12 hours and I got into Vancouver at about 12.30pm, 6th February (yes same day but you know timezones).
