Well, as the Kisarazu twins might end up treeing more cats than they rescue, I'm not sure. And there are too many here who haven't got an ounce of control, but I do understand you frustration, Ibu-kun.

They chase cats into tress? .... Well that isn't good.

Those who have control could help, couldn't they? And trying is better than nothing, I think.

But my point does stand. Why am I sitting a math exam and not learning more about mutant powers? I would find that much more interesting.

They don't chase the cats so much as the cats run from them.

There are too many who don't want to be helped. We have a fair few who seem hell bent on never using their powers.

I agree. But alas, for those who can blend in, the practical matters still need to be addressed.

Cats run away from cats? What is the world coming too....?

That is a shame. Though I have to wonder why they are here if they don't intend on using their abilities. Isn't that what this school is all about? It's very strange.

Practical matters?

I can understand it. Some of us just need more practice before we can be relied on.

Then practice. Learn. And go and save the world.

I'm afraid I am not really cut out for anything quite that heroic.

Me either. But I'll never know unless I try.

Superman did work at a newspaper for a day job.

But only as a disguise. He'd run off most of the time to go and save the human race. If I run out of class to go and save someone I'll get detention.

How do you know? Have you tried?

........ I'll test it out today. If I get a detention. I'm blaming you.

And what do you think would happen if things went out of control? I'm all for saving the world, but we are here to get a better grasp on our powers~

Yes, we are. But how does that work when I'm too busy brushing up on my maths? I do not need to know maths to control my power.

I realise I am picking on maths a lot, but it's the first useless lesson that springs to mind.

Plus you re missing the point. I think we should be doing good now. Not hiding in school and pretending to be normal.

Because you have every much the right to education as any other normal person?

There're also a lot of factors to consider, like backlash from the public. Perhaps we could suggest ways in which we could do community service, though.

If I had wanted a normal education I would have stayed at a normal school rather than coming here.

Wouldn't public opinion change if they saw is doing good? Maybe community service is the way to go. To be fair I haven't fully thought this through. It was just something Akira and I touched upon last night.

Ibu-kun, as one of your teachers, I find this comment... distressing.

It is important you learn the basic skills that will allow you to function in society at large. As much as it may sound awesome, I doubt spandex and capes would be nearly as fun as you suggest (not to mention a serious fashion faux pas). In addition, young mutants need to learn how to control their powers... some more so than others.

In short, midterms are important. It will serve you well to remember that.

This is a comment. You replied to a blog post. I understand your concern, however you're wrong to be disturbed. This is just a post. A train of thought. A wondering, more than anything else. This is not a call to arms, not me starting a revolution and and detailing my desire to leave school and become some vigilante in spandex (which you may call a faux pas, but it's worked for superhero's down the ages, so you shouldn't knock it).

I would like to learn more about how to control my powers more than I would like to learn about subjects that disinterest me. I make no secret of that. But since I am here and have no choice in the matter, the tests will be taken and passed. So you need not worry.
