This is as close as I'm going to get to a year-end/new-year post. I'm not especially disappointed or bitter about 2009, but I think that has more to do with lowered expectations than any actual improvements.

I'm not going to review 2008 blow-by-blow, because as usual I suspect it would just raise my blood pressure. I have a general impression that it sucked less than the past few years. The financial situation is still appalling, and I'm getting increasingly stressed over it, but otherwise, things haven't, I think, been too bad.

The client's client still hasn't made up their minds. So instead of having work for February, the income from which would cover March, I'll be lucky to be working in March and paid in April. Argh.
