HBO, makers of Band of Brothers, Rome and other things, (some show about a mafia guy who sees a psychiatrist or some pish) have just greenlit the pilot for the tv series of A Game of Thrones. The first novel in the Song of Ice and Fire novel series.

Well I know what I'm doing on my birthday next year. Which gives those slowpokes out there just under a year to read the original graphic novel. You really should, as it truly is an amazing story, even if you don't appreciate the ingenius way it satirises and upends the stalwarts of comic-book tradition; it's still a great story ( Read more... )
