After making my last post I raced home trying to beat my landlord and the maintenance guy there. It didn't work though. By the time I got there, he'd already been there. Which is just great! Last week my air conditioner quit working so I called my landlord. He didn't answer, his wife did. So I told her what was going on. Was reading through the Spring issue of Faerie Magazine yesterday and came across an article on the tale of "Beauty and the Beast". I didn't know how many times that story had been reworked! I only knew of the Disney version but I'm eager to explore the others now.

I've been quiet for the past 3 days (as far as LJ goes) and they've been some of the best days I've had recently. Atleast spiritually speaking. Friday I didn't do much, just got caught up on some rest. Saturday my mom and I got into a huge fight that had me storming out the door. And Sunday was what I call a Spiritual Day. I needed it.

As previously mentioned my cat, Melodi, got a nasty would about 3 weeks ago. I thought it would heal on it's own because it wasn't bleeding or anything so at the time I didn't do anything about it. Yea, it didn't heal. So last night I took her into the vet.

I just came from applying for a job at the humane society of indianapolis. Unfortunately it's not a no kill shelter though I wish terribly that it was. I don't think they have any positions available but...atleast they have my app now in case something does open up ( Read more... )
