Cool Air and Flowers
After making my last post I raced home trying to beat my landlord and the maintenance guy there. It didn't work though. By the time I got there, he'd already been there. Which is just great! I didn't have to talk to him. With how hot I was (both figuratively and literally) I would've just told him off most likely. Atleast he had the sense to leave the air conditioner on before he left. We had turned it off when we discovered it had been doing nothing and just had the fan on. Our poor cats were probably burning hot! But when I walked through the front door I found Melodi on the couch sleeping, Bubby on my mom's bed sleeping, and Isabelle on my bed sleeping just like nothing had happened. The house was cool and comfortable and very welcome after the hot drive home.
So I just sat down and almost fell asleep. I barely slept last night because of how hot I was. I would just lay there and sweat. But...I'll sleep good tonight.
After resting a minute, I went out to check on my flowers. The ones out back are doing splendid though they will need watered tonight once the sun sinks below the horizon. Or the light dims enough to where I can just see out there.
And my flowers out front, in the little pot I made (decorated) last summer are getting buds on them! See:
Okay so you can't really see the buds but this did give me a way to show off the pot I decorated hehe. I am obsessed with the colors purple and green...can ya tell? Oh and the gems around the top are purple flowers and green moons. My two fave colors hehe. Anyway the buds are on the flowers to the right, the tallest ones.
I love watching green things grow. I never knew how much I'd enjoy this or how "right" it would feel to me. Next year I am determined to have a vegetable garden. Even if it's just a tomato plant in one of those Topsy Turvy things. I want to grow some of my own food, I want to know how that feels.
