I'm amazed that one simple jog could create such a feeling of well-being and positiveness. I was almost downright ecstatic. Apparently, for me, it does not take much to achieve that "runner's high." Tonight I finished my IOP (intensive outpatient program) but I did not graduate. That's right: I can do a bit more and officially "graduate" from it. I'm going to do it, if only because I know I could use the support to stay sober and it gives me something to do and it does give me a way to remain connected. I didn't take my night-time sleep aid last night, because I knew quiet well that I wouldn't need the extra aid to sleep well.
