hey, who's that stomping all over my face? where's that silhouette I'm trying to trace?

I'm up right now because I'm incredibly wired (for no explicable reason) and because I'm pretty gassy. I just took some tums. Hopefully, it will pass. All things must pass, right?

Monday night (last night, earlier tonight, August 17th) was trivia night at the pub. I've gone about 6 times (jesus, 6 weeks of this?) and playing Trivia, or Trivial Pursuit. My team (which has always consisted of at least Wesley and myself) scored a 4th victory. That's not bad for 6 times at bat. Tonight, the group consisted of: Alpo, Ewok, Wes, myself, Andrea, Brian, Roseanna, Casey, Jared, and Stephanie.

I had 3.5 pints (paid for 2.5), the third being the spoils of victory. Huzzah! We won the first round with 7 out of 10 correct answers. Well, actually, it went to 3 tie-breaking rounds (the first two rounds were 3 questions each; the third, and final tie-breaking round consisted of one question --which we got right). However, had we not doubted Casey on one or Brian on another, we'd have had 9 correct answers. But alas my ass, we did well.

We lost the second round, with only 6 out of 10 correct questions. The winning team scored 9. I wasn't as drunk or belligerent as last week (when I had over 2 pitchers of beer in under 2 hours), but I was still an asshole. I gave everyone a hard time about the questions; I take trivia VERY seriously.

That was last night. The night before was the Season 3 premiere of Mad Men. I'm glad the episode is on demand, because I really want to rewatch it commercial free. I thought it was quite a good episode. No, I'm not going to spoil anything; I realise most of you either don't watch it, or just might not have seen the episode. Oh well. Suffice to say, the Season got off to a good start. I especially enjoyed the beginning. In fact, I even tweeted a line of dialogue or two.

Also, I got some good news, but because I haven't heard back from the woman who sent me the good news, I am starting to doubt whether or not I should have shared it with anyone to begin with. I'm worried about the future. As always.

In sum, life is good, and summer is almost over. Ewok leaves wednesday. Alpo won't leave until September, but that still sucks, you know? Sigh.

Oh, and I sort of started working out. But that'll be for another entry as I have been trying to keep entries at a manageable length.
