If you wish me to not quote Star Trek in this essay, could you please provide me with references that don't quote Star Trek themselves?

This is the third time I've hit a webpage with the friggin' Horta, I am not putting "Dammit, lecturer, I'm a silicon-based life form, not an Earth-like organism" in my work.

NO.

BAD INTERNET.

internets, irl

But why don't you want to quote Star Trek in your essay?

It seems perfectly logical to me...

It's a biology essay and Star Trek biology failed... a lot. This bastard of development for example:

But Wierd Dog was so cute... everyone wanted a cuddle! I think Sulu, Kirk and Spock all got in on the Weird Dog snuggles. (And Scotty prob did too but ICR)

LOL IIRC MCCOY ONCE SAID THAT THE HUMAN BODY IS 90/95% WATER WHICH WORRIES ME!

I never could quite work out how Spock's biology works. O_o

I want weird dog. If I had a dog, I would dress him up like weird dog and cuddle him. Chekov and Sulu should adopt weird dog in their land of snuggles and babies.

AND AND MCCOY CALLED TRIBBLES "BISEXUAL" WHEN HE CLEARLY MEANT "CAPABLE OF ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION". McCoy may, dammit, be a doctor, but he's only as good as the guys that wrote the script .__.

The green blood... might make some sense, using copper instead of iron, but his lips would be way greener and the lids of his eyes, all the stuff that they couldn't fix without ACTUALLY painting Nimoy's insides. Vulcan physiology is probable, but they wouldn't look like the Vulcans on screen.

It's sooooo infeasible though. ;A;

Carbon dioxide is lovely for trees. Silica dioxide is motherfucking sand. TREES NO LIKE SAND.

Trees evolved to this planet and its environment. Don't fall into the fallacy that what has developed on this planet is the only possible way life can function.

And some trees actually do quite well in sand. As do grasses *dons horticulture hat*

I wrote an essay once in which I heavily cited Ferrus Beullers Day Off as an example of developing Brechtian techniques. I think you can get away with being all "lol they killed the christiline entity with a noise WTF."

Also I wish they made weirddog costumes I would make my cats wear them. Totally worth the blood loss.
