Little bits and pieces of the wedding and honeymoon are all starting to come together, and it's all getting very exciting. The cake-cutting set we ordered is in and lovely, and I picked up supplies to make the guestbook/wedding album yesterday, so that's also awesome. Started off my weekend with a trip down to the Parkway to watch the Motorcycle Ride for Dad go by (they're a client at work), and that was pretty cool. Then I walked back toward Lebreton, where Fuzzy was setting up for the Children's Festival. It was a very pretty walk, along the parkway bike path, but also very very long. Which was a surprisingly traumatic experience. Cuz we're there in the store, and Fuzzy's trying to help me pick something, asking me about what sort of bike I want, and having me try them out, and asking me if they feel OK, but here's the thing: I don't know. So Gill was in town this weekend (all too briefly, sadly), which is always very very exciting. She arrived Friday evening, and she and Fuzzy and I went out drinking. Had one at the Brig, then met Jeff and Madeline at Wasabi, then acquired Glenn and moved on to the Heart and Crown. Gill and Glenn got pretend-engaged, and a good time was had by all. So, Fuzzy and I got up all early this morning to go hang around the passport office. Good times. It actually wasn't even as bad as we'd feared. Slow, but I think we were both steeled for worse.
