Has been much calmer. Going to work, nothing too crazy happening after hours... it's been nice. Went to the doctor on Wednesday, bloodwork came back Thursday, surprise surprise, my iron's low. No kidding. Thursday, Fuzzy and I went to register, which was really fun, but also kind of weird. I guess I've just been brought up well enough that wandering through a store going "I want that, I want that, I want that, I want that, I want that, etc." felt almost rude. On the other hand, the sheet the lady was using had three columns, and we only filled one, so I'm quite sure we're far from the worst. I did appreciate though, that the lady never tried to talk us into getting more and more stuff, or more expensive stuff, nor did she provide a million little cards, with the appalling instruction to stuff one into each invitation. It was nice and casual and quite pleasant. We are planning one other registry, I think, and I hope that experience will be just as pleasant. And after that, we went for drinks, which was also very nice. It was still early, so we were practically the only people in the bar, so it was quiet, and kind of cozy.

Yesterday, I had to spend the day at a client's office, which was kind of strange. I did their basic training on our software in the morning, and seriously? We cannot hire a new trainer soon enough, because this was not what I signed on for, and I'm not good at it, and I hate doing it. So bring on the somebody else. Got through it, though, then had lunch, and then had a meeting with them in the afternoon. And then I got to leave really early, and was home shortly after two. That was nice. Went upstairs to try and get back into the swing of working out, and am now marvelously sore. Fuzzy went to Montreal for the weekend, so I took Glenn with me to see What the Butler Saw, at Sock-n-Buskin. It was very silly, but quite entertaining, especially the second half. If you happen to be in Ottawa, and happen to have no plans this evening, it's their last night.

And today, I am enjoying the fact that I have no plans. None whatsoever. There are a few things I do need to do today, like fold laundry, clean the kitchen a bit and bake cookies, but nothing major. And I don't have to go anywhere. And that's all just so very very wonderful. It's been so long that I've had such a delightfully free day.
