Happy Birthday wonderpanther!

Yesterday saw Jason and the Argonauts. It was very cute, with two adorable Scottish guys doing the show, one of whom was taking the story-telling seriously, the other one kept introducing Spider-Man and other inaccuracies into the narrative.

David Rappaport, who played Father when we were in Ragtime at Debaun, is in a new cabaret show, called Crossroads: A Musical Journey. It is sadly not a musical version of the Britney Spears film.

I've always disliked "Best of" CDs of musicals, preferring instead the full-score versions, but in the case of Ragtime, it might be nice to have the version without the songs that include the N-word, for playing at work.

Got a new computer here at work- very exciting.

Just got an E-mail from Judi Polson- she's playing Emma Goldman in a musical that isn't Ragtime or Assassins, sometime in June. Which means there's three musicals that feature Emma Goldman as a character. So now I don't have to write the third, as I was threatening to do during Ragtime at DeBaun. Whew! Movies
The movie of Ragtime is very odd- doesn't capture the book at all, at all. Still, some interesting stuff going on. No Emma Goldman in the movie- the DVD has a few deleted scenes that featured her, but I couldn't watch them, since the DVD was scratched.
