Started watching the 3rd episode of season 2 of Grantchester. What they did to Amanda is criminal, imho. And there is absolutely NO earthly reason to turn Sidney Chambers into a sex-obsessed idiot except for the sole purpose of getting sex into the show. It's annoying, unnecessary and WRONG.

I am seriously beginning to really dislike Moriarty. Not because of anything that Conan Doyle wrote but simply because I consider Moriarty to be the archetype of the 'genius master criminal' and every single freaking procedural detective show is running that archetype to death. I decided to give the show The Witches of East End a try - watched an episode and a half and ... I don't think I'll be finishing the half episode. Two of my favorite villains of 60s campy shows are King Tut of Batman (Victor Buono) and Doctor Loveless of Wild Wild West show (Michael Dunn). In the interests of fairness, I have to report that there was minimum of suckage in the pilot of the new ABC series Once Upon a Time. The story set-up wasn't horrible and I liked the intermixing of fairy-tale with modern. There are two new shows this season that offer a modern take on tradition fairy tales - Once upon a Time on ABC and Grimm on ... NBC, I think. I'm excited about one, the Boston Globe critic is excited about the other.
