There was a threat of frost this morning, so I brought it some of my plants last night. To me, this is a signal that I need to reorganize. Ordered from two places last week, both were due to arrive yesterday, but only one made it. A package from Aerogarden - a pump for the older hydrogarden, a kit of heat-resistant salad planting pods and a kit of dwarf bush (5-6in tall) cherry tomato planting pods. The phrase reminds me of a nickname my younger brother Frank once had "Green-feet Frankie". When I was young (1st - 3rd grades), my family had a green car. Frankie, two years younger nor I, for some reason, enjoyed clambering all over the car and the colour came off onto the palms of his hands and the soles of his feet. Couple of years ago, I bought a "Perfect Cup of Coffee" - coffee plants growing in a coffee cup. They outgrew the cup. I repotted them - and most of them survived. Rec'd a "greenhouse" for Christmas - plastic shelves, pvc cover. The Aerogarden(tm) hydroponics system that I got a year or so ago (and never worked properly) fits on the top shelf, so I set it up, figuring it would give light to the other plants in the room. Went outside yesterday after lunch and started digging up the underbrush in the overgrown corner of the yard. Mostly maple tree saplings - some as tall as I. I only made a start on it, but the edge of the overgrown section has been pushed back.
